Orange Cake

Ingredients
- Flour – 1 cup
- Room Temperature Butter – 3/4 of a Stick
- Sugar – Little less than 3/4 cup
- Egg – 2
- Baking powder- 1/2 Teaspoon
- Orange Zest – 1 Teaspoon
- Orange Juice – 1/4 cup
- Vanilla Essence – 1 Teaspoon
- Salt – 1/4 Teaspoon
Method
- Sift the dry ingredients (flour ,salt and baking powder) to avoid any lumps and keep it aside.
- Beat the room temperature butter and sugar using handmixer or electric mixer.
- Add the eggs one by one and continue to mix for another 5 minutes.
- Add the dry ingredients little by little and mix till everything incorporates.
- Add the orange juice,orange zest and vanilla essence and mix for another minute until everything blends.
- Pour the mixture in a greased pan.
- Preheat the oven to 350 Deg F. Bake the cake for about 25 minutes.
- Check on it by inserting a knife.If it comes clean the cake is done.
Note : Time may vary from 20 to 30 minutes depending on the oven’s performance.
